Federal Labor Law Poster Fines Increased; Are Your Posters Up to Date?

date
August 16, 2022

While many federal posters have no citations or penalties for failure to post, others do, and employers should ensure that the most recent version of each state and federal poster is posted on their bulletin board or wherever your posters are located. The US Department of Labor has a poster site that provides details on each poster including citations and penalties. Unfortunately NYS Department of Labor’s poster site doesn’t go into that level of detail.

To ensure you have the most up to date posters available, one of the many benefits of Greater Rochester Chamber membership is discounted posters through our HR partner, GovDocs. Members receive a 10% discount on NYS or other state labor law posters, federal labor law posters, safety posters, and more. A Spanish version of posters is available as well. Discounts may be available for employers with more than 50 locations (contact GovDocs directly).

In addition, GovDocs offers an Update Service which is an annual subscription that automatically provides updated posters to applicable locations whenever a labor law posting change occurs. And they also have electronic poster packages to ensure you have a compliant solution for remote employees and can also be posted on your company intranet.

To order or check out prices, visit http://shop.govdocs.com/. Members must enter promotion code GN-RBA to your shopping cart to apply the 10% discount. Please contact Kathy Richmond or Jennifer Suppé in HR Services with any questions, including to request links to currently NYS and federal labor law posters.
