February 20, 2026 (ROCHESTER, NY) – Greater Rochester Chamber has released the following statement today on behalf of President & CEO Bob Duffy:

"Today's Supreme Court decision delivers relief for our business community and enables long-term growth, planning, and investment by removing uncertainty and chaos created by tariffs. Greater Rochester Chamber has heard from countless members firsthand about the financial and operational hardships that these tariffs have created, including one story of over $2 million lost monthly on steel and aluminum tariffs. Today's decision supports collaboration with our neighbors and thoughtful policy implementation that uplifts our economy and affordability efforts, for businesses and consumers alike. Thank you to our members who shared their stories, and to all of our partners who listened and amplified the voices of our Greater Rochester community."

This statement is in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to halt tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Greater Rochester Chamber has previously worked alongside our members to assess the impact of these tariffs and spoken out about their adverse economic impact.
