Friendly Senior Living Appoints Laurie Phelps as New Vice President of Human Resources
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Friendly Senior Living, a Rochester-based nonprofit provider of senior living and care services, today announced the appointment of Laurie Phelps as Vice President of Human Resources, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to its workforce and the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
In this role, Phelps will lead system-wide human resources strategy, including talent recruitment and retention, leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational culture across Friendly Senior Living’s continuum of care, which includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.

Phelps comes to Friendly Senior Living from The Strong, where she served as the organization’s Vice President since 2016.
