Jewish Home CEO Michael King is honored with prestigious McKnight’s Pinnacle Award
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Michael S. King, President & CEO of Jewish Home, has been named a 2026 McKnight’s Pinnacle Award winner in the Agent of Change category. The Pinnacle Awards honor “elite long-term care professionals who set new standards, drive innovation, and inspire others across the nation.”
Thirty-two distinguished leaders were selected as this year’s honorees by an independent national panel for their superior performance and transformative impact over careers spanning at least 20 years in skilled nursing, senior living, home care, and affiliated provider fields.
With a 36-year career in long-term care, King is at the forefront of compassionate, forward-thinking care in the Rochester community. Under his visionary leadership, Jewish Home has evolved from a single-site skilled nursing facility into a dynamic organization with 15 lines of business serving thousands annually and employing more than 1,000 staff. King’s tenure of 21 years at Jewish Home is marked by bold innovation, including the expansion of housing options, home care, and community-based services, as well as the introduction of programs such as neurobehavioral rehabilitation, memory care, and workforce development initiatives.
“Mike King is the embodiment of an Agent of Change,” said Marc Reich, Chair of the Board of Directors at Jewish Home. “His strategic foresight and commitment to innovation has driven the expansion of Jewish Home services, allowing the organization to address unmet needs and better serve our community.”
King’s influence extends beyond Jewish Home. He serves on the boards of LeadingAge NY and the Association of Jewish Aging Services (AJAS) and is a key member of the Alliance for Senior Care. His advocacy for Medicaid reform, workforce innovation, and inter-organizational collaboration has elevated the entire senior care sector.
“I am humbled and honored by this recognition and am immensely proud of our growing organization and the care and services that our amazing team provides on our campus, in the community, and in people’s homes,” said King.
This award is presented by McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and its sister media brands. Winners include executives, administrators, clinicians, and caregivers from both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, all nominated by their peers and colleagues. King and his fellow award recipients will be celebrated March 18 at an awards dinner and presentation in New York City.
