Greater Rochester Chamber Releases Statement on New York State 2025 Energy Plan Approval
December 16, 2025 (ROCHESTER, NY) – Greater Rochester Chamber has released the following statement today on behalf of President & CEO Bob Duffy:
"Greater Rochester Chamber welcomes the approval of the 2025 State Energy Plan and its recognition that affordability and reliability must remain central as New York advances its energy transition. An all-of-the-above approach is not optional—it reflects the realistic needs of so many employers and residents across New York State, while continuing to make energy infrastructure investments needed to keep the lights on. We will continue working to support access to all forms of energy that powers our region and creates sustainable, long-term growth."
This statement is in response to the 2025 State Energy Plan, which was approved by the State Energy Planning Board at its December 16 meeting.
