Mark Zawacki Honored by Genesee Valley Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals
Mark Zawacki, executive director of the Heritage Christian Services Foundation and senior vice president of advancement, has been named the 2025 Robert A. Clinger Outstanding Fundraising Professional. This award, given by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals, honors an exemplary seasoned professional who has demonstrated outstanding fundraising success in their career.
Mark’s contributions to Heritage Christian Services are many, but notably, he played a pivotal role in the success of the $10.1 million Homes with Heart campaign, which supported people to age in place in 13 renovated or constructed homes. He has strategically guided fundraising efforts to support the people who choose our services, staff members and the community. Mark has more than quadrupled the Heritage Christian Services Foundation assets, created comprehensive leadership giving and gift programs and grown annual appeal success tenfold during his tenure.
Mark is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, holds the Certified Fundraising Executive credential and volunteers his time on committees for the Seneca Park Zoo and the Genesee Land Trust. He also recently completed an international ministries trip, which supports people with disabilities and their families in rural areas of Central America.
