Miss Julie’s School of Beauty Now Accepting Referrals for Fall 2025 Cohort

date
July 2, 2025
Student Readiness Interviews Scheduled for July 18th

ROCHESTER, NY — Miss Julie’s School of Beauty, a trauma-informed cosmetology program created exclusively for survivors of sex trafficking, is now accepting student referrals for its upcoming class. Located in the heart of downtown Rochester inside the historic Sibley Building, the school offers a full, state-licensed cosmetology education—entirely tuition-free for its students.

This one-of-a-kind program offers more than just training. It provides a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment where survivors can reclaim their futures, build marketable skills, and prepare for sustainable careers in the beauty industry.

“We believe beauty can be healing—and that healing can lead to empowerment,” said Julie Chapus founder of Miss Julie’s School of Beauty. “Our school is designed to meet survivors where they are and support them every step of the way.”

Enrollment Requirements
To maintain the integrity and safety of the program, all prospective students must:

  • Be referred by a recognized program or agency point of contact
  • Have a GED or high school diploma equivalent
  • Have at least 12 months in recovery from substance use
