2025 M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival still accepting artist applications – limited spaces remain
WHAT: Celebrating nearly 70 years as MAG’s largest annual celebration of the arts, the 2025 M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival returns on September 6 and 7 for a vibrant weekend of creativity and community in Rochester—and is still accepting artist applications, though limited spaces remain. As MAG’s largest annual fundraiser and a premier regional arts event, the juried festival features over 300 artists from across the country, offering original artwork, live entertainment, local food trucks, family-friendly activities, and explorations in art. This year introduces the new $5,000 Luvon Sheppard Award for Creative Excellence, honoring the influential artist and educator’s legacy in Rochester’s creative community; it is open to participating Clothesline artists working in all media across Western and Central New York.
