2026 Annual Wage and Salary Benchmarking Surveys Released

Greater Rochester Chamber has released its four local 2026 Annual Wage and Salary Surveys - Professional/ Managerial, Nonexempt, Manufacturing, and Health & Human Services. The 2026 Co-op & Intern Survey will be released shortly. The wage and salary surveys report local wage data on close to 300 jobs, including those in administration, finance, human resources, information technology, customer service, sales and marketing, health care, and manufacturing. These surveys are a valuable benchmarking tool to help employers maintain competitive pay rates in the Rochester area. Used together with our various policy, practice and benefits surveys, employers can get a well rounded picture of pay and benefits in the Rochester area to help ensure you can both attract and retain talent. Click here to learn about all of our benchmarking surveys and to view a calendar of survey timing.

These and other annual surveys are conducted as a benefit of membership and only Corporate and Partner members are eligible to participate. Sign-ups for these surveys begin in December the prior year, and Excel survey questionnaires are sent out starting in January. A complimentary copy of the full results, a $450* value per local wage survey, is automatically sent to all survey participants whose membership is in good standing. If your organization participated in one or more of these surveys and the designated person didn't receive a complimentary copy of the results, please contact any of the HR Services team members: Kathy Richmond at (585) 256-4618, or Jennifer Suppé at (585) 256-4608, or Cindy Miller at (585) 256-4606. Members who didn't participate as well as nonmembers may order one or more surveys for internal benchmarking purposes.  Click here to download an order form. For compensation consultants interested in purchasing data for use with clients, please contact Kathy, Jennifer, or Cindy for more information and to request a consultant order form.

Sign-ups for the 2026 summer surveys begins in mid-June! This includes the following surveys: Health Benefits, Pay Trends, Holiday Closings, and the National Benefits Survey. Top and secondary HR contacts in our membership database will be notified by email when sign-ups begin and a reminder will be included in the Tuesday Voice of Business email. If you miss the email, just contact one of the above HR Services team members for assistance. Chamber members can still participate in any of our surveys as long as the survey itself is still in progress and the final deadline hasn't yet passed!

If you weren’t able to participate in the local wage surveys this year but would like to learn more about the participation process in preparation for next year, or if you are an existing survey participant and would like to learn various short cuts for reporting your data each year, please contact Kathy Richmond at (585) 256-4618.
