Homesteads for Hope Invites Local Businesses to Engage Through Unique Corporate Experiences at the Community Farm

date
May 18, 2026

Inclusive volunteerism, team-building, networking, and public engagement opportunities now available for the 2026 season
Homesteads for Hope is inviting local businesses and corporate partners to become part of something bigger during its upcoming 10th Anniversary Season — offering meaningful opportunities that blend team engagement, community impact, and inclusion in action.

Located along the scenic Erie Canal in Spencerport, Homesteads for Hope is more than a farm. It is an inclusive community destination serving young adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities through nature-based educational, vocational, and social experiences.
As businesses increasingly seek ways to strengthen workplace culture, support employee wellness, and give back to the community, Homesteads for Hope is providing several unique opportunities designed specifically for the corporate community.

Corporate Volunteer Days – Get Outside & Unplug
Every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to Noon during the 2026 season, businesses can register teams of up to 10 employees to participate in hands-on volunteer experiences at the farm. Corporate groups participate alongside work-based learning students in the flower gardens, farm fields, and daily homesteading activities, creating authentic opportunities for inclusion, collaboration, and purpose-driven engagement. Volunteer groups are then welcome to enjoy a team lunch on site.

“Let us show you what people CAN do and see how proud our members are of their accomplishments,” said Jennyrae Brongo. “These experiences create moments of connection between people of all abilities while giving teams an opportunity to step outside, unplug, and experience inclusion in a meaningful way.”

A Unique Venue for Corporate Events
Following extensive renovations supported by partners including The Golisano Foundation, RG&E, and New York State Economic Development, Homesteads for Hope now offers a beautifully restored historic barn venue overlooking the wide waters of the Erie Canal. The venue is available for corporate picnics, networking events, team retreats, cocktail receptions, appreciation events, and community gatherings. The renovated barn and surrounding farm provide a distinctive setting with a mission-driven experience

Teach Your Trade or Business as a “Talent Teacher”
New for 2026, Homesteads for Hope is launching a “Farm for All” model that invites local professionals, tradespeople, artists, and businesses to become “Talent Teachers.” Businesses and individuals are encouraged to host free public classes sharing their expertise in areas such as financial literacy, woodworking, vehicle maintenance, arts and music, advocacy, and unique hands-on trades. The initiative is designed to make learning accessible, inclusive, and community-centered while exposing participants to real-world skills and experiences.

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities
Businesses looking for deeper involvement can also participate as corporate sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities include larger private volunteer experiences, exclusive networking opportunities, brand visibility at weekly summer music events, and promotional recognition and table sponsorships for the upcoming Harvesting Hope Gala on Friday, August 28, 2026.

“As we enter the 10th Anniversary Season at the Farm, we are looking to share our mission louder than ever before,” said Brongo. “There are so many people who still do not know this resource exists for local families. Everyone knows someone raising a child or supporting an adult with disabilities — whether it’s a colleague, neighbor, friend, or family member. We invite businesses to join us in creating a place where people truly belong.”
