date
May 5, 2026

Rochester, NY – On the second Wednesday of each month, the Breast Cancer Coalition hosts the Lymphedema & Lipedema Discussion Group, professionally facilitated by Melissa Clark, MS, OTR/L, CLT. This offering is available to those affected by or at risk of experiencing lymphedema or lipedema. Participants do not need to have a breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis to attend this group.

On Wednesday, May 13, at 6:00 PM, join the group for a special presentation by Kim Leonard, MS, CNS, LDN, FNTP, CNE. As a functional medicine nutritional therapist with expertise in therapeutic nutrition and a passion for empowering individuals with practical, sustainable tools for better health, Leonard will share how nutrition can play a powerful role in managing symptoms of lymphedema and lipedema.

“Discovering the power of an anti-inflammatory diet isn’t just about managing lymphedema or lipedema,” said Leonard. “It’s about unlocking a vibrant new chapter where knowledge becomes your superpower, transforming challenges into triumphs with every nourishing bite.”

The Lymphedema & Lipedema Discussion Group is always free of charge. It provides a supportive space for individuals living with these chronic conditions, providing validation, education and peer support. The group is available in a hybrid setting; individuals may attend in person at the Breast Cancer Coalition or join online.
