ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Strathallan Hotel has officially joined the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, ushering in a new chapter for one of Rochester’s most established and recognizable hospitality destinations.

Located at 550 East Avenue in the heart of Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts, The Strathallan has long served as a gathering place for visitors and locals alike. The transition to Tapestry Collection by Hilton represents an evolution of The Strathallan experience, combining the charm of a boutique hotel with the benefits of Hilton’s global network and Hilton Honors program.

“Since The Strathallan’s inception, the property has offered unparalleled products and services to the Rochester community,” shared Jay Rettberg, General Manager. “It was an easy decision to commit to this elaborate upgrade based on the previous year's support from the community and the seasoned associates who have made this an award-winning property. We are confident that we are poised to continue to be the pinnacle of hospitality for the region.”

This transition follows a comprehensive, property-wide renovation that reimagined every aspect of the guest experience, from all 157 guest rooms and suites to shared spaces throughout the hotel. The Strathallan now features fully redesigned event spaces, an updated fitness center, and elevated dining experiences, including the reimagined CHAR Steak & Lounge and Hattie’s rooftop bar, offering sweeping views of the Rochester skyline.

As part of the Tapestry Collection, The Strathallan will continue to emphasize its deep connection to Rochester’s cultural district. Their legacy will continue through an experience that lets guests explore the city’s history, enjoy locally inspired cuisine, and connect with the surrounding community. Situated steps from the Memorial Art Gallery, Village Gate, and a network of theaters, museums, and local businesses, the hotel reflects the creativity and energy that define the Neighborhood of the Arts.

The transition will be celebrated with a media-exclusive ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place on Thursday, April 30, at 3 PM on-site at the hotel. Speakers will include Rochester Deputy Mayor Michael Burns, representatives from The Strathallan, and other local dignitaries. A media advisory will follow.
