Lacy Katzen LLP announces Francesca Hovagimian, Esq. Joins the Litigation Department
April 29, 2026 - Lacy Katzen LLP is pleased to announce that Francesca Hovagimian, Esq. has
joined the firm as an associate attorney. She concentrates her practice on personal injury and medical
malpractice law.
Francesca brings a strong background in litigation and client advocacy to the firm. Prior to joining
Lacy Katzen LLP, she served as a deputy public defender and trial attorney for the State of Colorado,
where she represented indigent clients and developed a deep commitment to protecting individual
rights. She later continued her litigation career in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she gained experience
handling premises liability, personal injury, and medical malpractice cases.
Now based in Rochester, Francesca is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families in her
community. Her practice focuses on achieving meaningful outcomes for clients in complex personal
injury and medical malpractice matters.

Francesca is a member of the New York State, Nevada State, and Colorado State Bar Associations, as
well as the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, the Monroe County Bar Association,
and the Armenian Bar Association. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California,
Berkeley School of Law in 2020 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the
University of California, Santa Cruz in 2017, with highest honors in Philosophy.
Her published work includes the article, ''Are School Debate Competitions Bad for Our Political
Discourse?" in The New York Times (October 12, 2019). Francesca enjoys spending time with her family, painting, gardening, and cooking for loved ones.
