Less Rade Tape, More Progress: EXPRESS NY Portal Open Through Friday, 4/3

date
March 31, 2026

Frustrated with the way things work in New York State? Don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of the fix. State leaders are seeking your feedback as a leading business professional on the regulations, policies, and practices that are holding our state back.

Through the EXPRESS NY portal, you can identify what adds unnecessary process, undue burden, or is out of date, with feedback going directly to senior leadership in state operations. This new program focuses on identifying areas that will:

  • Speed up housing & infrastructure development by addressing obstacles that slow down our ability to build affordable housing and other infrastructure New Yorkers depend on: transportation, child care centers, water infrastructure, parks, community centers, and more.
  • Support small businesses by tackling burdensome requirements and fees that make it difficult for businesses to launch, serve customers, or grow.
  • Streamline access to services by simplifying complicated processes or removing unnecessary hurdles that prevent families from accessing benefits and services that New York State supports or oversees (e.g., healthcare, child care, nutrition, mental health).

This is a powerful opportunity to use your voice to directly connect with leaders and decision makers in Albany who can help improve how the government works, and is part of a broader effort from New York State to identify efficiencies and cut red tape. Access the portal online to tell New York State how it can work better for you: https://forms.ny.gov/s3/how-can-we-make-new-york-state-work-better-for-you

We strongly encourage stakeholders to submit direct feedback to amplify our voice and the need for action. Access the portal online by this Friday, April 3 to make your voice heard! Any completed proposals can also be shared with Greater Rochester Chamber so we can identify opportunities to amplify your priorities and concerns.
