The financial institution hosted the ribbon cutting of its 25th branch in Greater Rochester with local leaders and community members

ROCHESTER, N.YOctober 27, 2025 – ESL Federal Credit Union celebrated the opening of its 25th branch today at 835 West Main Street in the Bull’s Head neighborhood of Rochester. The Bull’s Head Office is the third of three new branches in the City of Rochester by ESL to improve access to affordable banking services for city residents and businesses. In 2021, ESL opened the Lake Avenue Office in the Edgerton Neighborhood and in 2023 opened its Goodman Office on North Goodman Street.

“The immediate response of gratitude and joy from residents and business owners who have come into the new Bull’s Head Office reaffirms our purpose to help our community thrive,” said Mike Prince, vice president/director, branch & contact center, ESL Federal Credit Union. “Having convenient access to financial services and resources lays the foundation for achieving financial wellness, and we’re honored to be a part of this journey with the community.”

“The opening of this new Bull’s Head branch reflects ESL’s strong leadership and deep commitment to the community,” said City of Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans. “With a team that genuinely cares about the people they serve, ESL will help Bull’s Head families plan for the future, support local entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses, and give residents greater access to the financial tools they need to build stability and wealth right here in their own neighborhood.”

As part of this third City of Rochester branch, ESL worked with local artist Shawn Dunwoody to create a community mural wall within the branch. Neighborhood residents were invited to reflect on their history in the neighborhood and to share their thoughts that were then translated into artwork by Dunwoody.

The Bull’s Head Office is 4,600 square feet and offers full-service personal and business banking services to meet the financial needs of residents. Amenities include ATMs (vestibule and drive-up) and accessibility to the bus line.

Alma Torres is the branch manager of the new Bull’s Head location, which employs seven people total as part of the ESL workforce of approximately 975 employees throughout Greater Rochester.  Bilingual staff in English and Spanish are available to assist Spanish-speaking members in the branch.
