A Toast to The Arc Slated for Friday, October 24 at Arbor Midtown

The annual gala raises funds for The Arc Foundation of Monroe in support of The Arc of Monroe

ROCHESTER, NY – A Toast to The Arc, in celebration of The Arc of Monroe, will be held Friday, October 24 from 6 to 10 pm at Arbor Midtown. The event is a fundraiser presented by The Arc Foundation of Monroe. The Foundation is committed to raising funds to support the meaningful and necessary mission of The Arc.

The event will be emceed by 98.9 The Buzz’s Scott Spezzano and Sandy Waters. The event will include awards presented to five honorees for their contributions to The Arc of Monroe and for their commitment to creating a more inclusive Rochester community. The night will also feature a “live painting” visual performance by Rochester Artist Lorraine Staunch where she completes an art piece at the event. It will also feature a silent auction, a live auction and a paddle call. The evening will culminate with a performance by The Swooners, a Rochester band that brings every event to life with rich vocal harmonies, standout solos, and infectious dance grooves.

The honorees at this year’s event include:

Impact Award: Jennifer Kaukeinen, JK Leadership Consulting
Honoring an individual or group who has deeply touched the lives of the people we support or employ and has had a direct and meaningful impact on The Arc of Monroe.

Collaboration Award: Red Bird Market
Honoring a powerful partnership between a local organization and The Arc of Monroe, which has resulted in positive outcomes for all.

Employer of the Year Award: Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester
Honoring an individual or group who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for people supported by The Arc of Monroe to build skills, achieve goals, gain independence, and to move forward on their journey with greater self-confidence.

Community Partner of the Year Award: Monroe County Sheriff’s Office
Honoring an individual or group who has made significant contributions or efforts that enhance the lives of people supported by The Arc of Monroe through advocacy, volunteerism, or funding.

The event will continue The Arc’s next iteration of its Aging In Place, Aging With Grace campaign: a $1 million initiative to build its next home in its mission to create space for people supported to live fully throughout the trajectory of their lives without needing to be displaced due to mobility challenges or other concerns that arise as a result of aging.
