Celebrating National Small Business Week in Greater Rochester

date
May 5, 2025

National Small Business Week is being celebrated from Sunday, May 4th, through Saturday, May 10th around the country, including right here in Greater Rochester, NY. Our small businesses have a massive economic impact in our community, creating thousands of jobs and contributing billions of dollars to our regional economy. As the voice of business for the nine-county Finger Lakes Region, Greater Rochester Chamber is proud to help celebrate this impact and uplift our small business community this week.

At Greater Rochester Chamber, we get to work with the small businesses that make up our region every single day. By any definition, the vast majority of our 1,300 members are small businesses, with 80% having under 100 employees and 40% having 10 or fewer. This is a microcosm of our regional economy as a whole. As our economy has shifted, the world-class talent that one contributed to large industry leaders has remained in the region and now leads their own small businesses. Our work helps connect possibility into progress for these organizations through advocacy, compliance, talent, and belonging.

We can’t do this work alone. As we celebrate National Small Business Week, we’re encouraging our members and the whole Greater Rochester region to get involved. Keep reading for a few easy ways to support our small business community:
