Popli Design Group Brings Headquarters to Downtown Rochester
Rochester, NY – After more than three decades in its previous Penfield location, Popli Design Group (“PDG”) has brought its headquarters to downtown Rochester, marking a significant new chapter for the growing architecture and engineering firm.
PDG will celebrate the opening of its new headquarters at 220 Alexander Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 8th. The firm now occupies the top two floors of the building, creating a centralized headquarters for its Rochester-based team and a workplace designed to support its continued growth.
With more than 240 team members across seven office locations throughout New York and New Jersey, PDG has grown substantially since its founding in 1982. The move to downtown Rochester brings its Rochester operations together under one roof while providing improved access for its workforce and clients.
“We needed a location that could bring our team together and prepare us for the future, while also meeting the needs of our current operations,” said Jay Popli, Executive Vice President of Popli Design Group. “Furthermore, relocating to a downtown area provides our associates with walkability and access to the amenities and restaurants available in an urban setting.”
Designed by PDG, the new headquarters features enhanced workspaces, upgraded technology infrastructure, and areas that encourage collaboration and connection. The extensive build-out was led by Buckingham Properties’ in-house construction team, with support from additional vendors and project partners. Buckingham transformed a largely vacant portion of 220 Alexander Street into a modern office environment for PDG as part of its continued investment in the property. The company is also making additional improvements throughout the building, including exploring new amenities designed to better serve office tenants and support future occupancy. The project represents the largest build-out Buckingham Properties’ construction team has completed in more than five years. A full list of project partners is included below.
