Rochester, NY, July 28, 2026—The M&T Bank Clothesline Art & Fine Craft Festival returns to the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester (MAG) on Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30, 2026. Now in its 69th year, Clothesline is one of the longest continuously running art festivals on the East Coast and remains MAG's largest annual celebration of the arts. This two-day festival features nearly 400 artists and vendors, including a considerable number of artists exhibiting at Clothesline for the first time—alongside live music, local food trucks, family activities, a new festival T-shirt designed by a local artist, and countless opportunities to buy one-of-a-kind artwork.

The Luvon Sheppard Award for Creative Excellence

The Luvon Sheppard Award for Creative Excellence celebrates artists and makers across all media from Rochester, the Finger Lakes, and Western/Central New York and honors Sheppard’s lasting impact on the region’s creative community. Sponsored by Joy Gallery and Studio and local arts supporter Richard A. Glaser, the award is open to all artists participating in the M&T Bank Clothesline Art & Fine Craft Festival.
