Underberg & Kessler Welcomes Mario A. Roque to Its Litigation Practice

Rochester, New York, June 12, 2026 – Underberg & Kessler LLP is pleased to announce that Mario A. Roque has joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation practice group.

Mario represents businesses, individuals, municipalities, and organizations in state and federal courts in matters involving commercial, municipal, land use, and labor and employment disputes. Drawing on his background in litigation, education, and advocacy, Mario helps clients navigate complex disputes with sound judgment, empathy, and a focus on long-term solutions.

Before joining Underberg & Kessler, Mario served as DEI Director at a major private university, where he oversaw workforce strategy for a division of more than 1,000 employees and led initiatives involving compliance, operations, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. Additionally, he managed discrimination, compliance, and Title IX matters affecting a university community of more than 70,000 students and employees.

Mario earned his B.A., cum laude, from San Francisco State University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
