ESL Federal Credit Union Awards $20,000 in Scholarships to 10 High School Students

ROCHESTER, N.Y.June 11, 2026 – ESL Federal Credit Union awarded 10 college-bound high school seniors with $2,000 as part of the ESL College Scholarship program. This program recognizes students who have helped their community in unique and meaningful ways.

The 2026 scholarship award recipients are:

  • Lillie Davis, Brockport High School
  • Lydia Foust, Marcus Whitman High School
  • Ryan Freida, Livonia High School
  • Jay Giles, Ruben A. Cirillo High School
  • Alisiana Johnson, Gates Chili High School
  • Ella Kehoe, Hilton High School
  • Grace Mundell, Byron-Bergen Senior High School
  • Naomi Rosario, Hilton High School
  • Allison Runke, Fairport High School
  • Nyah Wragg, Rush-Henrietta High School

“The 2026 ESL College Scholarship recipients are an exceptional group of students. Through acts of kindness, leadership, and a determination to make a difference, they have made meaningful impacts in their home communities,” said Rich Pulvino, vice president/director, Marketing, ESL Federal Credit Union. “We are honored to recognize these individuals for their dedication to uplifting others and pleased to support them as they head off to college this fall.”

Application requirements included:

  • A member in good standing at ESL Federal Credit Union
  • A high school senior who lived in the ESL Federal Credit Union field of membership during the 2025/2026 school year
  • Attending an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2026

More than 190 students applied for this year’s ESL College Scholarship. Applicants needed to provide official copies of their transcripts, letters of recommendation from a school official or community/volunteer organization, and a list of extracurricular activities and community service. In alignment with the ESL Purpose, students were encouraged to write about how they help their community “thrive and prosper.”
