Call for Applications for the 2026 GRQC Day of Quality

date
March 3, 2026

ROCHESTER, NY (March 3, 2026) - Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce's Greater Rochester Quality Council (GRQC) affiliate proudly announces that it is accepting applications for its 2026 Day of Quality. Applications are due March 13, 2026.

Day of Quality is an annual program that brings together local quality professionals and nonprofit organizations for a single day of powerful collaboration. Modeled after United Way's Day of Caring, this free program sees teams of local quality experts spending an entire day, working hand-in-hand alongside the staff of local non-profits to tackle operational challenges using proven quality tools and methodologies. The Day of Quality is just one example of GRQC’s broader work to advance performance excellence in the region.

Since 2014, the Day of Quality has offered a two-way benefit: nonprofit organizations receive focused attention and support to address a challenge of their choice, while volunteer professionals develop their skills by applying quality tools outside their industry alongside other community experts. GRQC’s commitment to “transforming Greater Rochester through performance excellence” is at the heart of this initiative.

See the Day of Quality webpage https://www.grqc.org/day-of-quality for a list of past participants, including Foodlink, The Children’s Agenda, Villa of Hope, and Willow Domestic Violence Center, and some of the projects worked on – everything from reducing wait times in a community pharmacy to improving the process for onboarding new members and customers.

“Transformation isn’t a matter of time, but of intention and the courage to act together. Day of Quality brings volunteers, teammates, and leaders into bold partnership, where listening, learning, and doing spark meaningful change in just one day.” said Amber Ramerman, GRQC Board Member and event lead.
