April 30, 2024

Rochester Downtown Development Corporate is excited to share that Project for Public Spaces has awarded a Community Placemaking Grant for work in Washington Square to facilitate small-scale temporary aesthetic and programming improvements. This grant supports placemaking efforts in Washington Square as outlined in the Rochester 2034 Comprehensive Plan and is facilitated by Project for Public Spaces.

RDDC will be partnering with the Washington Square Community Association and Project for Public Spaces, an internationally renowned planning and design non-profit dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces that build stronger communities, on this project.

Greater Rochester Chamber members and other community leaders are invited to a participatory Community Workshop on Thursday, May 2nd from 5 - 7 PM at 3 City Center's 1st Floor conference room.
