Valentine’s Day Gifts to Benefit Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp

“Sunshine Valentine” packages on sale through Feb. 10

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 18, 2024 — This Valentine’s Day, area residents can express their love for that special someone – and help children with disabilities attend summer camp at no cost to their families.

In partnership with local businesses, Rochester Rotary is offering four “Sunshine Valentine” gift packages for sale, with the proceeds benefiting Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp. Packages include:

  • Lisa's Love Package ($100) - red and pink assorted flower bouquet from Kittelberger; Andy's Candies Large Chocolate Heart; prosecco, red or white wine (available for pick-up only at Lisa's Liquor Barn)
  • The Squeeze ($100) - red and pink assorted flower bouquet from Kittelberger; Andy's Candies Large Chocolate Heart; prosecco
  • The Hug ($75) - red and pink assorted flower bouquet from Kittelberger and Andy's Candies Large Chocolate Heart
  • Date Night ($55) - Kittelberger assorted flower bouquet; Mark's Pizzeria gift card for one large, one-topping pizza; and a 4-pack of High Noon Seltzers

A stuffed teddy bear and flower bouquet are also available as a la carte items.

Packages can be ordered online at SunshineValentine.org through Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. Sunshine Valentines are available for pick-up or delivery to Monroe, Ontario and Livingston counties.

 

 

About Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp

Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp (sunshinecamp.org), a fully accessible residential summer camp in Rush, N.Y., has met the needs of children with paralysis and other physical challenges and their families since 1922. Each summer, children and young-adult campers (ages 7 to 21 years old) with disabilities take advantage of this 157-acre campground. It is the only camping facility of its kind in Greater Rochester that gives children with special needs unique overnight camping experiences. The camp is owned by Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts Inc. and operated by the Rochester Rotary Club.
