Make Your Voice Heard: Partnership for Downtown Rochester Hosting Community Open House Wednesday, December 13th

date
December 11, 2023

Greater Rochester Chamber members are encouraged to make their voices heard in our community. The Partnership for Downtown Rochester (PDR) has released a draft district plan for a potential Downtown Rochester Business Improvement District (BID) and are seeking community input at an open house on Wednesday, December 13th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Open House will review findings from the first phase of engagement, share how the input was used to develop a draft district plan for a potential downtown Rochester BID, and obtain feedback from stakeholders about the draft BID district plan. Attendees are invited to circulate among stations and share their feedback on each of the designated boards.

The draft district plan is a direct response to the broad and diverse community input received over the past year, from over 1,000 community members at more than 35 events. Thanks to the public input received from a diverse group of community builders, this process identified clear needs for downtown that business improvement district (BID) services can directly address: Marketing, Events & Activations; Small Business & Livability; Hospitality; and Beautification & Maintenance; along with support for social services.

All are encouraged this open house to attend and share input regarding the draft BID district plan. ASL Interpretation will be available on site. To request reasonable accommodations, please email connect@rochesterdowntownpartnership.org. Register in advance to attend online here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-open-house-effort-for-a-potential-downtown-rochester-bid-tickets-767650893487?aff=oddtdtcreator

If you’re unable to attend the open house on Wednesday but still want to make your voice heard, a survey soliciting feedback on the draft district plan is also available, and will be open through December 31, 2023: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3CDHKGV
