37th Annual List of Fastest-Growing, Privately-Owned Companies

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce announced the rankings for the Greater Rochester Chamber 2023 Top 100 List at an awards ceremony on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Floreano Convention Center, attended by 1,500 business and community leaders from the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes region. GreenSpark Solar took the number one spot on the 37th annual list and has been providing renewable energy to the Greater Rochester region for more than 20 years. Grain-to-glass distillery Black Button Distilling and real estate development and management company Conifer Realty, LLC rounded out the top three.

The annual Greater Rochester Chamber Top 100 list celebrates the fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the Greater Rochester nine-county region. Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce accounting partner KPMG LLP determines Top 100 rankings based upon dollar and percentage revenue growth over a three-year period, which allows companies large and small to compete on a level playing field. All revenue information received is kept in the strictest of confidence and is not made public.

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy said “The Top 100 companies are some of the most powerful economic drivers for our Rochester region. They are the fastest-growing companies thanks to their leadership, employees, and customers. Despite the many challenges facing business in Greater Rochester and across the globe today, they are thriving and growing – and they are creating jobs and economic growth. We are grateful to our Top 100 companies for making the Rochester region so successful. The 2023 Greater Rochester Chamber Top 100 companies employ nearly 13,000 people in the Greater Rochester region and employ over 7,000 more across the country. This year, these companies generated over $5.4 billion in revenue, creating an undeniable impact on our regional economy. Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate on Thursday, and to all our sponsors and supporters for making this annual recognition celebration possible.”
