September 27, 2023

City of Rochester Mayor Malik Evans will be on-hand to speak.

ROCHESTER, NY – ArcWorks, The Arc of Monroe’s world class manufacturing facility, will hold its 60th anniversary celebration this Friday, September 29 at 11 am at 1651 Lyell Avenue, Rochester.

A variety of distinguished guests will speak including City of Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, 12th Legislative District Legislator Steve Brew, and a number of ArcWorks and The Arc of Monroe employees and people supported.

ArcWorks is an integrated business where people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities work side-by-side performing tasks like contract packaging, clean room medical and pharmaceutical packaging and assembly/product sterilization services, electrical/mechanical assembly, kitting and order fulfillment.

The Arc of Monroe has a rich history of offering community and employment services to hundreds of people throughout Monroe County including nearly 100 at ArcWorks. Pre-vocational opportunities like those at ArcWorks offer people with intellectual and developmental disabilities an opportunity to improve their prospects for supported employment, competitive employment, or to be hired full-time at ArcWorks.

“ArcWorks is important to the Rochester community because it helps improve employment prospects for people by showing employers that a person’s disability does not affect their ability, motivation, and commitment to perform employment job tasks,” said The Arc of Monroe President and CEO Tracy Petrichick. “Plus, ArcWorks has customers from around the world who rely on them for their manufacturing expertise and skills. They’ve really found their niche and are invaluable to their customers.”
