Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that their 501(c)(3), formerly known as RIEF (Rochester Industries Educational Fund) has been officially renamed to the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Through its Foundation, Greater Rochester Chamber will be able to continue to provide financial support for educational and community development activities and programs; promote and develop economic, civil, cultural and social welfare through educational programs; offer programs to encourage workforce development; and enhance educational opportunities offered by school districts.

The foundation’s board will be comprised of the Greater Rochester Chamber board’s finance committee, which will determine how funds are distributed.

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy said, “This change reflects the true nature and purpose of our 501(c)(3), and offers our board and members much more flexibility to invest in programs that support education, workforce development, and other community causes. We are excited to unveil this new branding and continue the great work that the Foundation supports, including CampusROC, the Sandy Parker Scholarship, and additional initiatives designed to uplift our community.”
