Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Announces Launch of Greater ROC Careers Portal
New Website and Digital Tools Will Connect Local Employers and Job Seekers
ROCHESTER, NY (July 6, 2021) – Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of Greater ROC Careers, a job board for job seekers and employers in the Greater Rochester area.
Greater ROC Careers has the technology and sophistication of a national job board and focuses solely on jobs in Greater Rochester. The site is full-service and provides job seekers and employers a new and easy way to connect with one another. While there are hundreds of job boards, what makes Greater ROC Careers unique is its focus on our local employers, the ease of applying, and the ability to focus on great talent in our own region.
Job seekers can search for jobs, upload their credentials, set up alerts to be notified of matching new jobs, and quickly apply to positions that interest them.
Employers can post jobs and search for qualified candidates for free. Employers can also set up alerts to be notified when a job seeker with certain qualifications registers with the job board. For a monthly fee, a job scraping feature will automatically pull jobs from an employer website and post them each business day.
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy said, “Rochester is one of the most innovative, vibrant, and affordable up-and-coming metropolitan areas in the nation. The Talent Strategy team at Greater Rochester Chamber is devoted to helping our region attract and retain great talent, which our businesses need for continued growth and success. We are very excited to provide this tool to our community.”
ESL Federal Credit Union Senior Vice President/Director, Human Resources and Community Impact Maureen Wolfe said, “The Greater ROC Careers job board is an excellent resource for us at ESL, for employers throughout Greater Rochester and for job applicants looking to build their careers in our community. At ESL, we are always on the lookout for outstanding talent to bring their unique experiences and skills to our team. This new job board is the ideal tool for us and other employers to get the word out about openings, and for job applicants to discover opportunities across a variety of industries in our community.”
Greater ROC Careers has over 2000 jobs already on the site, as well as other resources for job seekers, such as a resume builder service, career tips and advice, and a directory of helpful resources and services in the Rochester community.
