Leveraging HR Services to Overcome Workplace Challenges: Learning from Your HR Peers

Throughout this series, we've explored how workforce data helps organizations identify challenges, guide decision-making, and demonstrate measurable impact. While formal training builds knowledge and skills, one of the most valuable development opportunities for HR professionals is learning from peers who are facing similar workforce challenges. HR Forums provide a unique opportunity to share ideas, benchmark practices, discuss emerging issues, and gain practical solutions from fellow experienced professionals across the Rochester business community.

Greater Rochester Chamber offers 7 HR Forums that serve to bring together HR professionals through confidential peer discussions, networking, and expert presentations on timely topics such as recruitment, AI, employee engagement, compliance, compensation strategy, retention, succession planning, and more. Registration is now open for the 2026-27 Senior HR Executive Forums and registration opens soon for the 2026-27 Recruitment Forum as well, starting in October and November respectively. For more information, visit the HR Forums page on our website or contact Kathy Richmond to set up a time to discuss.

Another way to connect with and learn from your peers is at our Inclusive Leadership Award Celebration on Sept. 16.  The event offers an opportunity to gain ideas and inspiration from organizations that are helping shape a stronger, more inclusive Greater Rochester by creating cultures of belonging, implementing fair and equitable practices, developing empowered and engaged teams, and strengthening community connections.

Next in the series: We'll explore more ways to learn from your peers on the topic of A.I. through a panel discussion on A.I.’s growing impact on HR and operations.
