ROCHESTER – Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) is hosting its 32nd annual Flag Day campaign from June 11th to June 14th. The event raises crucial funds to support the comprehensive suite of services VOC offers to veterans in Rochester and the surrounding counties.

During the four-day event, volunteers will be stationed at various retail locations across Monroe County, handing out free handheld American flags. Community members will have the opportunity to make optional donations, with all proceeds benefiting VOC’s programs.

"Our Flag Day fundraiser is a vital opportunity for our community to come together and show their support for the people who have served our country," Laura Heltz, Executive Director of Veterans Outreach Center and a U.S. Army veteran, said. "The funds raised directly enable us to provide our comprehensive network of care – from housing and mental health services to employment support and wellness programs. It's an investment in their well-being, stability, and future success right here in Rochester."

VOC’s extensive services are designed to meet veterans where they are and provide a pathway to stability and self-sufficiency. Veterans Outreach Center is also seeking volunteers to help make the Flag Day fundraiser a success.
