RochesterWorks, ACCES-VR, and Finger Lakes Works partner with NYS Commission for the Blind to Provide Vision Sensitivity & Service Animals Training Workshop for Employers as part of 2024 Accessibility in the Workplace Employer Workshop Series

WHAT:
RochesterWorks, ACCES-VR, and Finger Lakes Works are co-hosting a unique employer training opportunity to be presented by the NYS Commission for the Blind! Whether you currently employ someone who is visually impaired or blind, or may do so in the future, this training will prepare you with information about resources available to assist you and your employee in the workplace.

This free training will include an interactive experience provided by Jane Sullivan, District Manager for the NYS Commission for the Blind, where she will walk attendees through what it's like to live as someone with vision impairments or blindness. The presentation will also provide information on service animals in the workplace and public areas.

To increase the knowledge of employers looking to grow their talent pipeline and retain their existing employees in today’s tight labor market, and offer them strategies to recruit, hire, and retain people with disabilities.
