“Assessment and Intervention of Sex Trafficking: A Guide for Helping Professionals” Event at Roberts Wesleyan University

Rochester, NY - On September 29, 2023, at 7 PM, Roberts Wesleyan University is hosting a crucial event titled “Assessment and Intervention of Sex Trafficking: A Guide for Helping Professionals.” This enlightening presentation will be held at the Lake Auditorium, Smith Science Center, located at 2301 West Side Dr., Rochester, NY 14624.

Sex trafficking is a pervasive and complex issue that affects individuals worldwide, including right here in our communities. This event is designed to empower and equip helping professionals, including social workers, nurses, law enforcement, and educators, with the knowledge and skills needed to understand, assess, and effectively intervene in cases of sex trafficking.

The event will feature Julie Chapus LMSW who has firsthand experience in addressing the challenges posed by sex trafficking and developed a model which provides a permanent means of escape through Miss Julie’s School of Beauty. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights, tools, and resources to combat this grave issue within their communities.
